Engagement Rings - The Pretty and the Unusual

Have you seen the ring Brad Pitt designed with Robert Procop for Angelina Jolie? Wowzers! Now that is one heck of a ring! And apparently it is estimated to have cost $250,000.

We can only ever dream of getting the chance to wear a ring like that, although I will admit I have gone into a fancy jewellers just to try on the expensive items. Try it, it really is a thrill wearing £10000s worth of diamonds.

I love looking at rings whether they be diamonds, sapphires or emeralds. When I was a youngster, I would often sit and try on all the items in my Mum's jewellery box. However, it wasn't the monetary value which excited me, it was the story behind each item I loved to hear.

Painlessly, I have been having a look around for some engagement ring inspiration for you ladies (you can just leave your laptop open on this page so your boyfriend gets the hint). Which stone would you love to wear? And would you opt for platinum, yellow gold or rose gold?

I LOVE the rose gold rings and I have always been a massive fan of the art-deco style rings too, so it's no surprise my favourite ring is the Art Deco Sapphire and Diamond ring. What style of engagement ring have you got or would love to have?
