Lancome's Life Changing Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate

While I am a complete and utter beauty junkie, it is very rare that I find a product good enough to describe it as life-changing.

In fact, my list of life-changing products is pretty small, with just YSL's Touche Eclat, By Terry's Sheer Expert foundation, Ogario's hair masque and Cor's Silver Soap making it so far. However, in a matter of just two days, Lancome's Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate knocked my socks off enough to force its way on there...

It is, hands down, the single greatest serum I have ever put on my face. It costs £55 from Boots, but is worth every single penny - so much so that I would even forgo a pair of heels to buy this! My skin has genuinely never looked, nor felt, so good.

Here's the science behind it: the activator apparently "boosts the activity of genes and stimulates the production of youth proteins. A true skincare innovation with 7 worldwide patents pending, Génifique is the foundation of every woman’s skincare at any age or for any skin concern." The result is "visibly younger skin in just 7 days. Skin looks as if lit from within – breathtakingly radiant."

The concentrate on skin
This is one of those rare products whose results live up to all the hype. Apparently it took scientists ten years of extensive research to produce this, and it's easy to see why...

After just two days of applying this (twice a day, every day) below my regular moisturiser, I could see a huge difference. I started using it at a time when I was looking pale and washed-out, yet I quickly began to wake up with healthy, glowing skin which felt velvety soft to the touch.

Within a week, I noticed that my pores were refined and my fine lines were airbrushed. My skin tone also appeared to be more even, something which I really struggle with.

So, is it suitable for you? Well, it's one of those rare products that I'd recommend for all ages and skin types. It's light and easily absorbed, as well as not scented, meaning you could probably use it on even the oiliest of skins, but it also happens to moisturise very effectively.

All in all, this is a miracle in a bottle. Every woman can benefit from having this in her cupboard!
