Konjac Sponges - the Ultimate Cleansing Treat

I've heard beauty bloggers rave and rave about Konjac cleansing sponges in reviews for what seems like forever. But, until recently, I never got around to trying one for myself.

Why, I don't know. In fact, I've been scratching my head and wondering about my sanity ever since I tried Konjac because it's actually one of the best beauty products I've ever had the pleasure of testing.

High praise indeed, but these soft, squishy, funny-looking little Konjac sponges are complete life changers in the cleansing game. Not only are they completely budget-friendly (£6.99!), but they're also amazingly effective, gentle and brilliant exfoliators and cleansers too.

Made from 100% natural vegetable roots which have been used by the Japanese for hundreds of years (both as a beauty product and as a food source, too), konjac sponges are designed to cleanse the skin in the gentlest way imaginable. Ideal for anyone with sensitive skin (babies included!), these ultra soft sponges effectively clean the skin with just a soaking of water needed.

I was lucky enough to be sent one of the Konjac Sponge Puffs With Added French Pink Clay to test and I fell in love with it straight away. It left my face sparkling clean and utterly radiant.

Konjac sponge review

Perfect for use at this skin-ravaging time of year (I can't be the only one who suffers dry, blotchy patches caused by the wind!), this powder pink sponge is great for anyone with irritated skin. To use it, all you need to do is soak in warm water (no additional cleanser needed, unless you choose to) and apply in circular motions across the face.

The pink clay in the sponge not only cleanses and purifies, but it also has a softening effect and leaves the skin silky smooth and radiant. It also manages to plump and rejuvenate the face, leaving it seem a lot younger, fresher and a whole lot less tired. Trust me on this - I NEEDED an anti-tiredness cleanser, and this beauty works better than any!

This is a fantastic product for waking and cleaning the skin in the morning when you're hard-pressed for time. I've also loved using it alongside my favourite cleanser, the Balmology Cleansing Balm, for an extra boost in the evenings. The two combined work like a mini facial, although it does shorten the life of the sponge somewhat.

I've also been using Konjac's amazing baby sponge on bath-loving Zayn and it's an absolute delight. It gently glides over his skin and even cleans up his messy, food-splattered high chair and table too!

Honestly, if you haven't tried Konjac sponges before, you NEED them in your life. And for only £6.99, what have you got to use? If you have time left before Xmas, they'd make the perfect stocking filler for tricky-to-buy-for teenage girls. Just click here to buy.
